MKON Cloud Documentation

Complete guides on container lifecycles, runtime stacks, file deployment, and database connections.

Architecture Overview

Every project on MKON Cloud runs inside an isolated container with its own storage partition, dedicated database user, and edge-routed Traefik SSL certificate. You deploy files via the web file manager and compile dependencies with a single click.

The 3-Step Deploy Cycle

1. Provision

Select your runtime preset and database cluster. The platform creates container routing and mounts an empty filesystem.

2. Upload Files

Use the File System tab to upload your code. Do not upload dependency folders (like node_modules/ or vendor/). These should be built directly inside the container.

3. Build & Deploy

Clicking Deploy Code installs your packages (Composer, NPM, or Pip), sets up file permissions, and boots your production server with zero downtime.

PHP, Laravel & Static Web (Combined Stack)

An adaptive Apache & PHP 8.2 runtime that detects whether you are hosting a Laravel application, a pure PHP script, or static HTML/JS/CSS assets.

  • Laravel Projects: If a public/ folder is detected, Apache shifts its DocumentRoot to /public automatically and enables mod_rewrite. Upload your root project files without the vendor/ folder, then click Deploy Code to run Composer and symlink your storage directory.
  • Vanilla PHP: If no public/ folder exists, Apache serves straight from the root. Upload your index.php and assets directly.
  • Vanilla JS & Static Sites: Works immediately out of the box with static HTML/CSS/JS files and client-side single-page applications.

Node.js (Express, Next.js, Fastify)

Powered by node:20-alpine listening internally on port 3000.

  • Next.js: Add output: 'standalone' to your next.config.js. Clicking Deploy Code automatically runs npm install followed by npm run build and launches the standalone server.
  • Express & APIs: Ensure your server binds to 0.0.0.0 and process.env.PORT || 3000.

Python (Django & FastAPI)

  • Environment uses python:3.11-slim and executes app.py on port 8000.
  • Include a requirements.txt file in your project root to trigger automatic pip installations.

n8n Automation Engine

Spins up the official container image pre-connected to PostgreSQL with dedicated persistent volume mappings.

Docker Base Runtime

An Alpine Linux container running an idle process loop for custom scripting and testing.
